One Maryland One Book Author Tour: Naima Coster. Oct. 4. 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. La Plata Campus Fine Arts Center. Author Naima Coster will visit Maryland to discuss her book "What’s Mine and Yours" as part of the One Maryland, One Book author tour. “What’s Mine and Yours” is a multigenerational saga featuring two North Carolina families. They collide in ways that neither is prepared for when Black students from the east side of the county are integrated into the predominantly white schools on the west side. Readers will follow these families over decades as they break apart and come back together. Maryland Humanities created One Maryland One Book to bring together diverse people in communities across the state through the shared experience of reading the same book. Ward Virts Concert Series: Zachary Mowitz, cello and Sahun Sam Hong, piano. Oct. 30. 3 p.m. Prince Frederick Campus, Building B, Multipurpose Room 10. Award winning pianist Sahun Sam Hong brings his colorful style and riveting energy to the solo, chamber, and concerto stage. Cellist Zachary Mowitz made his solo debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra in July 2018 as the winner of the Greenfield Competition. He is currently an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel will be performing at the Marlboro Music Festival in 2022.
