Payment Plans

We make paying for college easier with the CSM monthly payment plan, a convenient, interest-free way to budget your expenses. This is not a loan program, so there is no credit check.

Payments can be made in person at a convenient campus location, online through your my.CSMD account, or can be mailed to: College of Southern Maryland, Student Account Services, PO Box 910, La Plata, MD 20646.

Eligibility Requirements for Payment Plan

• To be eligible for a credit payment plan, you must be enrolled for at least one credit. To register for credit courses, click here.
• To be eligible for a continuing education (non-credit) payment plan, you must have registration charges of $500.00 or more per semester. To register for continuing education courses, please complete the CONED Registration Form and submit to the Registrar's Office via email at webreg@csmd.edu along with a copy of your driver's license as proof of identity. ⁠ Once registration is complete, you may then follow the instructions below on How to Sign Up for the Payment Plan.

How to Sign Up for the Payment Plan

1. Go to csmd.edu
2. Log into myCSMD
3. Click on Online Services
4. Click on Student Finance
5. Click on Make a Payment
6. Click on Create Payment Plan
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the payment plan

Important Information Regarding the Payment Plan

• Students are responsible to make payments each month through Online Services or in person. The down payment and monthly payments will NOT be automatically withdrawn.
• Students have 24 hours after registering for courses to enroll on a payment plan to avoid being dropped.
• The down payment and the $50 non-refundable enrollment fee are required at the time you enroll in the payment plan.
• Your payment plan will automatically adjust with your student account changes including schedule adjustments, additional payments, waiver/billing changes, and financial aid awards.
• If monthly payments are not made on the agreed date, then a $25 late payment fee will be assessed, and financial restriction may be placed on your student account preventing future registration activity.
• The payment plan will automatically cancel if a student drops all courses for the semester.  A non-refundable enrollment fee will be charged for each new payment plan enrollment.
