Registration opens today, Aug. 16, for the Nonprofit Institute at the College of Southern Maryland’s (CSM) 16th Annual Grant Writing Seminar. The Sept. 17 free online event is limited to the first 100 registrants.
This year participants will learn how to improve grants proposals and accountability to donors by strengthening organizational planning and budgeting processes. Janet Kazuko Stormes of Learning on the Verge, LLC, will introduce a new way to look at an organization’s budget and focus on practical steps and tools to link budget to strategic planning; develop multi-year budgets and cost estimates for grant proposals; connect funding to your organization’s outcomes; and build trust and stronger relationships with your donors and grantors.
Sponsors and organizers joining the Nonprofit Institute at the College of Southern Maryland, include the Governor's Grants Office, Charles County Public Library, St. Mary's County Public Library and Calvert Library.
The seminar will be held Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. online. Visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/16th-annual-grants-training-tickets-167218951385 to register and receive Zoom information.
