If you are receiving Social Security disability benefits based on your work record, the college will waive tuition charges upon confirmation of student eligibility. Students are required to pay all fees. To apply for the waiver, obtain a Social Security Disability Waiver form from the college’s Financial Assistance Department. The form can be downloaded from the Financial Assistance Department Forms Page.
Take the form to the Social Security Administration for verification and return it to the college’s Financial Assistance Department. If you're eligible, the waiver will cover tuition charges not covered by other financial assistance. You must complete the form annually.
Persons who believe they may be eligible for the Unaccompanied Homeless Youth Tuition Waiver should contact the college's Financial Assistance Department to request a determination of their eligibility.
If any student is a resident of this state and enrolls in an instructional program that has been designated by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) as a statewide or regional program, the student shall pay only the student tuition and fees payable by a resident of the county that supports the community college.
Students enrolling in a statewide program are eligible for the in-county tuition rate if the designated statewide program is not available at the community college in the student's county of residence, or the program at the community college in the student's county of residence has reached the program's capacity. Students enrolling in a CSM statewide designated program must complete additional forms for verification of eligibility. These forms are available through the Admissions Department and must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the payment of tuition.
