CSM Class of 2024, Arts and Sciences
CSM has provided me with tools to continue my education as an adult learner. I tried for years throughout my career to take classes here and there, but life happens: marriage, children, and so on. I retired after 27 years at USPS and decided to complete my business degree. CSM welcomed me with open arms and I’ve never looked back.
You are never too old to master new thoughts and ideas. My family has always stressed the importance of education and not being afraid of learning new things. Both of my grandsons are honor roll students, and the oldest is already talking about going to college. They think it’s pretty cool that their grandma is in college—they’re always asking about the type of work I’m doing and trying to provide me some “guidance.”
I’ve already been able to apply what I’ve learned about owning and operating a business, and I’ve opened a small boutique that provides a quaint and unique shopping experience. I want to use my skills and knowledge to realize my business plan and bring my visions to a storefront in my local community.
