The College of Southern Maryland’s (CSM) Board of Trustees has awarded six full-time faculty members tenure. Faculty tenure is an acknowledgement of faculty commitment to their discipline and the institution.
The process is a rigorous, peer review process that requires faculty to demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. For the faculty, it represents an acknowledgement from the college of their expertise in their respective discipline. It also represents a commitment from the college that says CSM values the selected faculty’s dedication to teaching and learning – and that CSM wants the selected faculty to remain committed to their profession at College of Southern Maryland.
The following CSM faculty have met or exceeded the standard set forth in the tenure review policy as established jointly by college administrators and Faculty Senate:
Assistant Professor Jacob Herlihy, School of Professional and Technical Studies
Associate Professor Eugen Leontie, School of Professional and Technical Studies
Associate Professor Buddhadeb Mallik, School of Science and Health
