To complete the Workforce Training Certificate for Certified Shielded Metal Arc Welder, you must complete:

- TEC-5040 Intermediate Shielded Metal Arc Welding

Completers of our introductory welding program will be able to go into the welding field as an entry-level welder able to work under the supervision of an experienced welder.
CSM offers six tracks to become a certified welder: Certified Shielded Metal Arc Welder (SMAW), Certified Shielded Metal Arc Pipe Welder, Certified Gas Metal Arc Welder (GMAW), Certified Gas Metal Arc Pipe Welder, Certified Gas Tungsten Arc Welder (GTAW), and Certified Gas Tungsten Arc Pipe Welder.
