There’s still time to register and pick up an extra class! Spring 7-Week Term II starts March 19, the first week back after spring break. If you need to meet with an advisor, make sure to do it this week, so that you can roll right into the second half of the spring semester.

Join students, professionals, and community members from Southern Maryland and beyond in the VelocityX Artificial Intelligence Hackathon on March 21 - 22. Apply your skills, insight, and creative problem-solving to the creation of an image classification model that can detect and identify images from a given dataset. Form a team and compete to win cash prizes from a $12,000 pot!

If you’ll complete your program of study this spring, don’t forget to apply to graduate! Apply to graduate by April 1 if you would like to participate in the May commencement ceremony. If you would prefer to receive your diploma only and not participate in the ceremony, the deadline to apply for graduation is April 15.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE OF THE WEEK: FREE CHROMEBOOKS FOR CALVERT COUNTY RESIDENTS
Qualified households in Calvert County can receive a free Chromebook from Calvert County Government and the Calvert Library. Distribution events will be held at Calvert Library locations and community centers throughout the county until June 1. Digital Navigators will be available at each event to help customers log on, learn about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), and receive resources on tech basics to get started.
