In today’s connected world, keeping computer information systems secure is a major challenge. Business, industry, and government entities need well-prepared technicians who can prevent, detect, and investigate cybersecurity breaches. The growth of cyber-threats has created a need for more knowledgeable and skilled workers.
Night of Cybersecurity is an opportunity to learn more about the College of Southern Maryland’s Cybersecurity Program and the many career opportunities available in our region.
The Cybersecurity Program at CSM is designated as a CAE-CDE 2Y - National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense 2-Year Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Students will:
- Develop a foundation in computer theory.
- Explore cybersecurity concepts.
- Select a specialized track to pursue in Digital Forensics, Network Security, or Information Assurance
