2021 Giving Tuesday

Join us for GivingTuesday on November 30, 2021 - a global day of giving that unleashes the power of radical generosity to transform the lives of our students and enrich our community. Choose CSM and champion student success by donating to scholarships, athletics or Hawk Feeder, which are micro-pantries on each of CSM’s four campuses. Gifts of every size, contributed on GivingTuesday by people like you, will help change lives here in Southern Maryland.

NEW THIS YEAR! Distinguished Professor of Equity in Education 
President Murphy has pledged to match gifts to this fund, dollar for dollar!
The College of Southern Maryland is social justice through education. It exists solely to provide programs and services that support the social and economic mobility of people in the Southern Maryland region.  It is equity in action, and the root of that action is in the classroom, irrespective of discipline, in the interaction between professors and students. This is hard work and requires the continual support and professional development of excellent and committed faculty. One means to facilitate that professional development is through the Distinguished Professor for Equity in Education program. Once endowed, this fund will provide support to a selected CSM professor to mobilize equity programming for faculty, staff and administrators, students, and our community.

Power Hours:

Give and Receive during POWER HOURS | Make your donation during one of three power hours and be entered to win exciting prizes! Prizes are as follows…

9 - 10 a.m. – Golf Enthusiast Power Hour: Golf bag and wedge (donated by reigning champs of the golf classic, McDonald and Eudy Printers, Inc.) Yeti cooler and travel mug (donated by Sneade's Ace Home Center)

12 - 1 p.m. – Shopping Spree Power Hour: A variety of gift cards to local establishments (Donated by the CSM Foundation Board of Directors)

6 - 7 p.m. –Stay Connected Power Hour: 10.2-inch Apple iPad (64GB) and an Apple Pencil

Challenges:

Do you work at CSM? Are you a CSM Student or Alum? Donate anytime on Giving Tuesday and be entered into a drawing to win an exciting prize! 

Student: Students who donate will be entered into a drawing to win Foundation scholarship, which can be used for either tuition or books. Don't forget to identify yourself as a student on the donation form. Winner will be announced on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Alumni:  Alums who donate will be entered into a drawing to win an alumni row flag.  Don't forget to identify yourself as an alumnus on the donation form. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Faculty and Staff: Faculty and staff who donate will be entered into a drawing to win a reserved parking spot for one year at your desired campus. Don't forget to identify yourself as faculty or staff on the donation form. Winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
