Ward Virts Concert Series: Junwen Liang, piano

Pianists Junwen Liang began his piano studies at the age of nine and performed his first solo recital at thirteen. Liang received a Graduate Performance Diploma in piano at the Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University.
He has won numerous awards and competitions starting in his youth in China and throughout the United States and Europe. He maintains a very active career as a solo recitalist, collaborative pianist, chamber musician.
In the latter role, he was awarded the title “Outstanding Collaborative Pianist” at the Peabody Institute. He serves on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
