Dr. Stephanie McCaslin, Dean, Learning Resources

Stephanie Mccaslin headshotStephanie McCaslin spent the first twenty years of her life travelling the world as the daughter in a military family.  This nomadic upbringing gave her an appreciation for people, cultures, and humanity, and a variety of educational interests.  In college, she spent two years as an opera major at Texas State University before moving to Maryland. She has an Associate of Arts from Charles County Community College (now CSM) in Arts and Humanities, a Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, a Master’s from Nova Southeastern University in Mathematics, and a PhD from Capella University.

Stephanie was a long-time co-chair of the annual Women + Math/ Women + STEM events at CSM and has been a speaker at NCTM and MCTM conferences. Currently, she oversees all tutoring, faculty development, and student learning support at the College of Southern Maryland.
