La Plata Campus, HT Lawn
You're invited to the Cinco De Mayo Fiesta that will be held on Thursday, May 4.
On May 5, 1862, the Mexican army defeated the French in the Battle of Puebla. This victorious day is recognized by many Mexican Americans and celebrated nationwide. CSM’s Division of Student Equity and Success (SES) wants to recognize the diverse heritage of our students by providing more cultural events.
On Thursday, May 4, SES in collaboration with the É.X.I.T.O. International Club will be hosting a collegewide Cinco De Mayo Fiesta. The celebration will be held from 3-5 p.m. on the HT lawn at the La Plata Campus. The event will have music from a live Mariachi band, Mexican food from Taqueria Los Compadres, Mexican cultural games, and so much more. We are excited to see students honoring Mexican American heritage by immersing themselves in the culture and learning more about Mexican American history.
