CSM Hosts Virtual Assistance Sessions to Help New and Existing Students Complete Registration; Learn to Navigate Schedules, Financial Aid, Buy Books

The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) will hold nine virtual registration assistance sessions in October to help new and existing students meet their CSM admission counselors, schedule their classes and learn everything they need to know about how to complete their courses and be successful at CSM.

“These virtual sessions allow us to connect with our new students and help them maneuver through the essential steps of starting classes at CSM,” said CSM Assistant Director of Admissions-Recruitment Shelby Potts. “We are excited to welcome new CSM Hawks and help them feel comfortable with the technology and supports we have to assist students in their learning.”

Topics covered in each session include showing students how to set up their myMail account; where to find course materials; how to locate class section times and dates; how to complete registration for classes that have been scheduled; how to change course schedules in the future; where to find financial aid information through student planning; how set up a payment plan and purchase books.

The virtual registration assistance sessions will be held Oct. 5, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; Oct. 7, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Oct. 12, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.; Oct. 14, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Oct. 19, 3 p.m. Register to receive Zoom information for these free help sessions at  https://www.csmd.edu/apply-register/events/registration-assistance-sessions.html.
